Document Shredding London: Secure, Certified and Hassle-Free
Every London business and household holds paperwork containing confidential information, from payroll records and client contracts to bank statements and medical notes. Once these documents are no longer needed, they must be destroyed properly, because discarded paper is a common route to data breaches and identity fraud.
Total Shred provides secure document shredding in London for organisations and residents. For more than 15 years, we have helped over 4,200 customers dispose of sensitive information safely, with full certification for every collection.
Our Document Shredding Services in London
On-site shredding: Our mobile shredding trucks come to your premises, and your documents are destroyed outside your door. You can watch the process in real time, so your confidential information stays in view until it is shredded.
Off-site shredding: We collect your documents and transport them to a secure facility for destruction. This is often the more cost-effective option for large volumes.
Regular collections and one-off clear-outs: Businesses can choose daily, weekly or monthly collections, with lockable consoles or wheelie bins kept on site. There is no long fixed-term contract. For office moves or archive purges, we also offer one-off shredding of any volume.
Residential and drive-thru shredding: Our residential paper shredding service covers tax returns, bank statements, medical records and other personal papers, shredded at your home. Alternatively, visit our drive-thru in Stanmore, stay in your vehicle and watch your documents being shredded.
How the Process Works
After you request a quote, we confirm your booking and send you a 2-hour arrival window and a live tracking link the day before. Our uniformed operators, vetted to BS7858 and Enhanced DBS checked, load your documents into lockable bins and shred them on the spot. There is no need to remove staples, paper clips or plastic sleeves. You receive a Declaration of Destruction on the day and a Certificate of Destruction by email for your records.
A Paper Shredding Service That Supports GDPR Compliance
Under UK GDPR, any organisation that handles personal data must dispose of it securely. Recycling bins and basic office shredders may not destroy documents securely enough, and a single exposed record can lead to fines and reputational damage.
Our paper shredding service complies with BS EN 15713, the standard for the secure destruction of confidential material, and we follow ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. We also work to guidance from the British Security Industry Association (BSIA). Councils, NHS trusts, schools, law firms and businesses of every size trust us with their sensitive information.
Serving London and Beyond
From our base in Stanmore, we serve offices and homes across London and beyond. All shredded paper is sent to a UK recycling facility and turned into new products such as tissue paper, so your confidential waste stays out of landfill.
